Street Ministry

During my first trip to Brazil God broke my heart for the nation, and specifically for the prostitutes that I saw on the street corners and in the dark alleyways.  One night I was to preach in a church in Brasilia, on the bus ride over to the church, I looked out the window and every prostitute I saw had the face of my daughter.  God was letting me see His heart for His daughters.  The King’s princesses.  He also opened my eyes to see the poor and the “least of these” in Brazil, and opened my heart up to love those people as my own.  Through all of that, I realize the importance of equipping the body of Christ, to reach these people.  In otherwords, we can’t be the American team that comes to Brazil and does all of the work.  Our desire is to serve and to equip the Brazilian church to reach out in love to those in captivity, to the broken and to the least of these.

As a ministry we go to the streets of Brazil and take the Father’s love to the prostitutes, transvestites, homeless, drug addicted and drug dealers.  Sometimes we take roses and “The Father’s Love Letter”, sometimes we take hot coffee and food, sometimes we give prophetic words and pray for healing and sometimes we’re just a friend to the friendless.  But every time we go there is breakthrough and transformation.  We’ve seen healing, salvations, miracles, restoration, laughter and tears in our time on the streets.  It’s one of our favorite places to go!

We also do “Father’s Love Banquets” where we invite prostitutes and transvestites for dinner in a private room at a nice restaurant and share with them about their value, their identity and the Father’s love for them.
