Bethany Villa

Bethany Villa is a safe home for girls rescued from abuse or abandonment, where each child receives holistic care and the chance to heal, grow, and be restored to family whenever possible. More than shelter, it’s a place where identity is rebuilt and hope begins.

Bethany Villa is a place of refuge and restoration for girls from birth to age 18—and boys up to age 2—who have been rescued from abuse, abandonment, or extreme vulnerability. Located in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Brazil, Bethany operates under the guidance of the Statute of Children and Adolescents as a ministry of Shores of Grace.

But more than a shelter, Bethany Villa is a home. Here, every child is known by name, surrounded by love, and supported by a trained team of caregivers, psychologists, social workers, and staff. We work together to meet each girl’s spiritual, emotional, and physical needs with excellence and compassion.

Our deepest hope is for family restoration—that every child could one day return to a safe and healed home. We work closely with the local court and social services to evaluate each situation with care. When reunification isn’t possible, we advocate for adoption or other long-term solutions where each child can flourish.

At Bethany, children experience more than safety—they encounter the Father’s love in practical,

life-changing ways. Through therapy, discipleship, education, and play, they begin to heal from trauma and rediscover their God-given identity and worth.

Whether a child stays for weeks or years, we are committed to loving them deeply, advocating fiercely, and preparing them for a future filled with hope.

In 2026, we will open a second Bethany Villa home focused on the sheltering and care of babies, children with special needs, and pregnant teenagers. Our current home will then be entirely dedicated to the sheltering and care of teenage girls.
