CICAF

CICAF is our legal and social outreach in Brazil,
providing free legal defense, counseling, and support

to protect vulnerable children and families from abuse,

exploitation, and injustice.

At Shores of Grace, we know the fight against exploitation must happen on every level—including the legal one. CICAF (our Legal Defense and Social Assistance Center) exists to defend the rights of children and teens facing abuse, abandonment, trafficking, and exploitation in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Brazil.

Through a dedicated team of lawyers, a psychologist, and a social worker, CICAF provides free legal, social, and psychological support to children and families in at-risk situations—offering expert help where hope often runs out.

We serve through three main areas:

Education of Rights: Hosting self-defense and legal rights workshops in communities and public schools.
Defense of Rights: Representing victims of violence and abuse in court to ensure justice and protection.
Social Assistance: Supporting families with legal aid, professional counseling, access to state benefits, and guidance through custody, adoption, or criminal cases.

Many families we serve face extreme poverty and deep trauma. CICAF steps in to protect the vulnerable, bring justice to the oppressed, and walk with families through some of their darkest moments. We also plan to expand with an adoption support center—offering legal and emotional care for both adoptive families and children.

Every case is a life. Every legal battle is a step toward healing. Through CICAF, we see God’s justice at work—restoring what was broken and strengthening families with dignity and hope.
